The Chair for Computational Engineering (L-10) was established on October 1, 2019 in place of the Institute for Computational Civil Engineering (L-5).
History of Chair L-10
The Institute for Computational Civil Engineering was established on March 1, 2006 from former Institute of Computer Methods in Civil Engineering (L-5) and Division of Computational Methods in Mechanics (L-6) according to the decision of the Senate of Cracow University of Technology of January 20, 2006.
First, the new Institute was composed of the following cooperating units:
- Division of Computer Analysis of Structures (L-51)
- Division of Computer Science Applications (L-52)
- Division of Computational Methods in Mechanics (L-53)
- Laboratory of Computer Aided Calculations (L-54)
- Administration
From October 1, 2015 till September 30, 2019 the Institute was composed of the following units:
- Division of Computer Science Applications in Engineering (L-51)
- Chair of Computational Methods in Mechanics (L-52)
- Technical Support and Administration
